Celebrate February as Black History Month

Event Cost: Free with the purchase of admission

Visit the National Women's Hall of Fame now through February 29th and view three new exhibits created in honor of Black History Month.  Items on display include programs and bulletins from concerts performed by Bessie Smith and Marian Anderson; autographed copies of Blacks, Winnie and To Disembark by Gwendolyn Brooks; and modern-day artifacts representing the story of Harriet Tubman.

Join Oswego County Historian, Justin White, for a discussion about 2000 Inductee, Dr. Mary Edwards Walker.   A physician and Civil War field surgeon, Dr. Walker was the first woman to receive the Medal of Honor.  This event is presented in partnership with the Seneca Falls Historical Society.  To read more about Dr. Walker, click here.
